MEPCO Group announced that Waste Aggregation & Recycling Company (WASCO), one of its subsidiaries, has obtained its Industrial Registration during the launch of Environmental Industries activities held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources in Riyadh, under the patronage of His Excellency Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, and in the presence of His Excellency the Deputy Minister, Eng. Khalil bin Salamah.
The event was attended by several leaders from MEPCO Group, including Eng. Faisal Haddawi, Chief Executive Officer of MEPCO Group, Eng. Hasan Al-Amri, Chief Executive Officer of the Waste Management and Recycling Sector, Eng. Bandar Al Enazi, Head of the Commercial Sector, and Mr. Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, General Manager of Estidama Environmental Services.
Through this milestone, MEPCO Group reaffirms its strategic role as an industrial and investment enabler by building and developing integrated value chains for cardboard recycling and linking waste outputs to the manufacturing industry, thereby enhancing resource efficiency and promoting local content in line with Saudi Arabia’s industrial and circular economy objectives.
Within this framework, WASCO assumes the operational role of translating these enablers into tangible industrial outcomes by developing and operating specialized environmental industrial facilities with an annual capacity exceeding one million tons, enabling the recovery of materials including plastic, paper, aluminum, and iron.
This achievement reflects WASCO’s commitment to sustainable industrial transformation and efficient resource utilization.
